How do I get algae off of my live rock?

Hello ppl, I just got started in this hobby and I began w/ 55lbs of live Fiji rock. I notice that there are small little patches of green algae that are forming on my rocks. First, I am changing my substrate soon, and I will have to take out my rocks. Should I just scrub the heck out of my rocks? Also, what are some algae products I can use? Thank you for your time!

I think that is normal if your rocks have red and green algea forming on the rocks! I have another tank and I get alot of green hair algea and use to scrub it off until I got an urchin and he loves the stuff!

as long as the algea is "short" Turbo snails will mow it down.. pull the long stuff, they don't seem to like it.
