Help Adding Sump

Posted this in the DIY, but thought it might get more traffic here.

Well originally i wanted to upgrade to a 90 Gallon RR, I just dont have that kind of money right now. Me and my wife just brought a house, and money will probably be tight for a while, so i want to add a sump and upgrade my skimmer to a skimmer that can be used on the 90 Gallon. I want to add a sump/fuge not only to benefit the system, but also so i can eventually get a mandarin and hide all my heaters and other stuff.

I have an 50 Gallon Oceanic that is 30" Long, 18" Wide, and 20" High. The only tank that will fit under there will be a 10 Gallon. I am thinking of a CPR Continuous Siphon Overflow, i am guessin 300 or 600 GPH, but which one? I was thinking of either a Quiet One 1200 (296gph) or Eheim 1250 (317gph) return.

I would also like to upgrade my skimmer, i am thinking the ASM G3, to be used in the future on the 90.

Are the CPR Overflows loud? How do i plumb from the return back to the tank, PVC?

i imagine this can all be done for around 100-150 including everything but the skimmer.

Thanks everyone,

Jeff

Id go with the Eheim instead of the Quiet one. I have the 1250 and its so quiet i have a hard time telling if its even on. And the quiet ones are known to not start back up after power outages

I don't know how loud the overflow will be though I had my tank drilled.

As for the return get a SCWD and two of these

Go with the 300gph, once you lose head presure your ehiem will be under 200gph

Love your avatior and name btw

Yeah, I'd stay away from the Quiet One pumps. I've had a couple of bad ones over the years. What about a Mag drive pump? I've only ever had good experiences with those.
