Green Marine algae is purchased at publix as nori. Where Can I get Brown Algae?
I would like to get some Brown Marine Algae for my nasso tang. Is there a less expensive way then going to a fish store/online?

Nori or seaweed sheets are commonly available at most oriental food stores. Just buy the plain rather than spiced/flavored variety. You will find that their prices are much more reasonable.

I've seen other varieties of nori at oriental markets other than the green, but they're certainly not as common. The only place I've been able to find the brown where I live is the LFS. Perhaps you could do a search for online Asian dry goods stores.

Sushi Nori or Dried Seaweed is also called Laver at the Oriental Store. The one I go to has about 50 different varieties....
I just look for the dried, no seasoning and no sodium kind, $ 8.99 for 50 big sheets.
