how do you remove coraline from acrylic
Does anyone know of a scratchless way to remove coraline from acrylic. I use a tiger shark float to clean my acrylic but at times I get coraline deposits that are harder to remove. The scrubbing pad on the magnet isn't cutting it. I noticed Kent has an algae scraper that is ok for acrylic but Ive never used it and wouldnt want to take the chance of leaving a scratch. Does anyone have or use one of these.. Let me know what you guys do. Thanks

Old credit cards or even better, the softer "savers" cards that you get at stores. Provided you use a flat angle (closer to parallel to the acryllic than perpendicular) It will not scratch and does a great jobs removing just about anything.

I use an old credit card. It is effective and I haven't seen any scratches from it.
Your results may vary. |

Heck, I should just use a current credit card so that I don't use it anymore...lol..I use to use a razor blade wedged into a pvc pipe to clean an old glass tank. I think Im gonna try the same thing with the credit card. Thanks everyone for the advice!!!!
