R/O Water system

Hi,

Well I am finally going to get a R/O water system for the Marine tank.

I was wonder if you all thought this was a good unit: http://www.filterwizard.com.au/filte...se_osmosis.asp

Cheers....

Looks like a pretty good RO system. It is designed primarily for drinking water but you could easily add a DI filter to it for reef use. It uses a great micron size prefilter and carbon block and a Dow Filmtec RO membrane which are what does the filtering. If you are using it strictly for aquariums toss the final carbon filter as it adds TDS back into the purified water and is not needed except for drinking water tastes and odors.
I think you did good. You might want to get a handheld TDS meter if you do not already have one to keep up with how well the unit is working.

Thanks for the info.

I will look at getting a TDS in time, as this sounds too be worth it.

I bought the air water ice system about a week ago and I'm very happy with it so far. I did a lil research and it was the cheapest esp for the 75 gpd. Actually filling up my first tank right now Hopefully i'll start my cycle tomorrow.
