I am currently running a 100 gallon reef with a wide range of coral, sps, lps and leathers, I was thinking of adding a uv light on the return, is this necessary? and can anyone recomend a good calcium reactor for a heavily stocked 100 gallon system?

A UV is not necessary but it can aid in preventing parasites and it keeps your water clearer. UV also has the negative efeect of killing all the good things that pass under the light as well.
