Mantis shrimp Oh no!

Does a mantis shrimp look kind of like a shrimp with a kind of hard back, feelers, but move along like a snail?

Mantis shrimp look like these:

They move must faster than a snail, unless they're stalking a prey I guess.

Well I think what I saw was a stomatella snail, so I guess I will just have to keep watching

Lol... Stomatella varia snails and mantis shrimp don't look very similar. Here is a macro of one in my tank:

Thanks for the picture that's what I saw. I guess I'll have to get out the flashlight again tonight, the poping is driving me crazy.

Try to lure it out with some meaty food. Might work. Trapping a mantis is not easy from what I've read. You might want to try the mantis forum for tips.
