help with brine shrimp hatch mix
Hi. I just bought this brine shrimp hatch mix and dont know what a cone is. It says to hatch them in a cone. Could I make one or is this a specialty item, or what? Probably a stupid question but it has me stumped. Thanx in advance.

Upside down pop bottle. I use gallon jars myself.

the way that i do it is that i use just eggs then add my own salt but anyways use a two liter pop bottle and cut off the bottom. I thin put a couple of holes in the bottle and hang it upside down from something. i add a quarter teaspoon of eggs with a half teaspoon of salt and about two cups of warm water. i put the bottom of the pop bottle on upside down and poke a hole in the middle. put a piece of stiff airline down the hole so that it goes down to the cap. turn on the air and shine a bright light at it and wait about 20 hours and you'll have thousands of little things swimming in there. after 20 or so hours i turn off the light and water pump and let sit for 15 min then i use the air line to siphon the shrimp out into a small jar or into a brine shimp net, then rinse and feed to your fish. Here is a link that i used to help getting started but i chose to hang my bottle rather than doing it the way it is shown: http://www.petfish.net/kb/entry/15/92/
