Calcium Question

I know that your Ca needs to be between 380 - 480, if your Ca is over 500 what effects will it have on your corals and your fish? I have one of my tanks that is reading like 520, and I need to know whats the best approach. Thanks

imo, it wouldnt be bad if it was a sps propogation tank, as long as the dkh was also stable along with the high level of calcium. does the tank already have corals in it, and are you noticing any problems with them? also, is the ph ok?

it would most likely just drop the alk and ph which is not good for the tank, and a high calcium reading means a lower level of available calcium.
