JBJ K-2 Viper
I just picked one up for fairly cheap*120$*.It`s 150w 14,000K.I`ve read that the bulbs are kinda iffy.So what i`m wondering is,what are some decent replacement bulbs for this unit?I did some searching on marine depot,but I have no idea what type of ballast the Viper uses.
Also,would this setup be good for a tank thats 25" deep?Not realy sure of what i`m going to plant the tank with yet. Thanks eta*the tank is only 37 gal. |

becareful! the ballest burn out really easily!!! my LFS just sent back 3 of them that lasted less then a year. The bulb also says 14k...but its quite yellow...he just got in a 15k bulb for it and it looks MUCH better...

Well,scratch that off the list.
Now,I need a decent light setup. Heres the thing though,my tank is H=25" W=20" and L=18". Ive been looking at Coralife Aqualight Advanced HQI Systems. so,my question is should i look into one of these or check out an aquapod.i don`t have a canopy and i can`t hang anything from the ceilings.i`m not too sure what i`m going to stock the tank with yet,but i`de like to be not limited. any other suggestions are welcomed thanks |
