Flow thru a 1.5" manifold
I'm wondering of someone might have a second to help me figure a small plumbing issue.
On my return pump setup (a pair of Eheim 1262’s) my space limitations prevent me from having a straight run out of the sump directly to the pumps. Return plumbing also needs to pass thru a partition inside my cabinet as well. So what I would basically be looking at doing is installing qty2- 1” bulkheads, cutting thru the partition x2 and then adding dual 45 deg fittings so I can dog-leg my piping around what is immedately in the way on the other side of the partition. What I would rather do is a quasi-manifold feed type of setup. I come out of the sump via a 1.5” bulkhead, make a 90 turn right after the partition into a short section of 1.5” pipe. Then a 1.5" tee and a 1.5" 90 in series finish it off. I drop a couple of 1” reducers into the tee and the 90 and park both pumps side-by-side perpendicular to the short section of 1.5" pipe. My question is: Will the 1.5" pipe manifold adequately feed two Eheim's each pulling in the 600-700gph range thru 1" inlets? Many thanks Brett |
