How High Should T5's be set above the water?

OK, so im ready to start building my canopy, which is going to house a 6 x 54 watt T5 retro Kit....... how far above the water should I have the kit?

just high enough so they are not being splashed. I have mine 4" above the surface and they've been fine. If you have a lot of micro bubbles you might need to put them higher up to avoid the splashing.
