It looks a bit more like pagoda. Monti cap is usually very densely 'furred' with polyps, while pagoda has little florets with a gap between. It could even be turbinaria, but I've never seen that red-orange color.

From first glance it doesn't appear to be a Montipora.

I think it's a monti, maybe not a cap though. Certainly not a pagoda.
I'll say this: I'm much more certain that it's not a pagoda (which is Turbinaria) than I am certain that it's a montipora. I don't know SPS that well... |

Whats odd is that I see it as being brown, the camera makes it look orange/rust...

Yes it is a montipora. Not sure if it is a capricornis or not but it is some kind of plating montipora. Thepolyps are probably not fully out because it is still getting used to your tank. And actually i have a few monti's that have only a small amount of polyps on them.
I am almost postive that is some type of montipora. |

Brown would be a more reasonable color, but the polyps are still too far apart for monti. If the polyps are yellow, and the body brown, turbinaria becomes more likely. Scale is hard to figure here. It doesn't look as massive as pagoda. Turbinaria is thin, usually, with different-colored polyps spread somewhat apart.
