I am about to purchase a Ca Reactor for a 90 gl SPS that I am setting up and would like opinions as to what you all think. I have narrowed it down to a Geo or Precision Marine. They are within $100 of each other, which in the grand scheme of things is not a consideration. I am looking for the most consistent reactor possible. Having a pH probe insert is important since I dont want to have to continuously read the effluent.
While I am on it. Would you use a Maxijet or Aqualift pump to provide the flow to it and or how would you get from a 1" main pump PVC outlet pipe to the 1/4" line to feed the reactor ? Thanks for your opinions and experiences.

I ended up with a Geo kalk reactor, hopefully it arrives tomorrow. I was stuck between a calcium reactor and kalk reactor for a while now. But since my pH runs low (7.9-8.1) fellow reefers recommended I try a kalk reactor first since a calcium reactor may make pH worse. See here for some good Geo pics:

I have a few GEO products (fluid reactor and kalk reactor) and highly recommend them. George does an excellent job.
I am planning on purchasing a 624 in the near future to replace my existing Ca Reactor.

I love my Geo reactor. I have the smallest one, 618. It is well built and easy to dial in.
I think the maxi-jet is a more reliable pump from what I read. With that said, I feed my reactor off my return pump. I have a tee in my return line. One port on the tee is female threaded 1/2". I then used a male threaded insert with a 1/4 inch barb on the other end. I put a valve in the line to be able to adjust the flow and it works like a champ. Hope this helps.

Thanks folks. Looks like it is a Geo. And thank you DocWells for the plumbing info.
