How much weight can my 55 gallon hold on top?
I want to eventually hang my light from the ceiling, but want someone more experienced than me to do it. How much weight can a 55 gallon tank like mine hold? The light I just bought is around 40 pounds and I'm worried the tank won't support it! Anyone know the answer!

to clarify I was considering tank mounting it for the time being. It just seems like a LOT of weight for a 55 gallon

As long as the weight is distributed on the plastic trim of the tank, the weight will be evenly distributed to the stand.
You should be fine. |
