I posted the samepic on the invertebrate forum too...
What is this worm?? is it a worm? It extends out of LR, and seems like it feeds thru a "mouth' at the tip. As soon as the light goes on it retracts....sems to be 2 inch long. Pic is a bit blurry, but the wormis right in the middle of it http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l5.../100_15111.jpg |

Looks to be a bristleworm (pick is rather blurry though). They are good. No problems.

Definitely a peanut worm. They go by another name. They extend out from holes in the live rock and pick up detritus that is around their area. Ive seen mine actually scrapping the lr.
I learned first hand why they are called peanut worms when I dropped a piece of lr and it cracked. Out rolled a peanut looking mass. It had a very touch skin. I held it for a minute and it suddenly expanded about 4 times its length.

Peanut worms are pretty cool to watch if you have a red light. I have one thats easily 10x larger than all my other peanut worms (I've seen it extend ~8 inches from the rock) and its about the size of a pencil, most of my other ones are pretty slim.
