Yellow Longnose Butterfly in a reef tank?
has anyone kept a Yellow Longnose Butterfly in a reef tank with success?
what do you feed them? do they pick at your corals? |

I dont, but they are known to be reasonably reefsafe, it's a chance you take. (They are one of the more reef safe butterfly's).
You could feed them a good mix of foods- mysis, brine, bloodworm, clam, prawn. |

Butterflies for some reason stick out from memory as being hit and miss as coral eaters, but I'm not sure of what kind I was reading them eating.
That's from memeory, and I may be completely wrong since I was doing basic research on the fish back when I started my first tank. |

Many true reefers seem to feel the long nose is OK or at least is not too damaging. Copper banded's seem to have a similar reputation and are seen in many reef set-ups.

Yip, I have a copperband and he has not caused any harm other that destroying my feather dusters / tube worms.
