New camera pics

Trying to play with settings under these lights. It's rough to figure it out. So far I think I'm best on auto, turn on macro, and turn off flash but there are so many settings if I go to white balance for daylight, tungsten, fluorescent, auto shade.

You should have bought that Calfo magazine while you were here. He does a easy to follow article on how to use your camera for taking aquarium pictures. It is a really good article.

Insted you opted to buy that $2k tang that Angie isn't supposed to know about.

A Kodak Z650

http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQueri...equestid=15415

It's on sale all weekend for 189 at Best Buy. They had a 7.1 mp camera on sale this morning for 129 but I spent an hour or two trying to decide last night and this one has more add on lens options and my last one only had the 3X optical and I told myself next time I wanted more optical. The digital zoom they always throw on top of it is useless.

My camera was stolen when my car got stolen. I just had freakin got it too. I only took 14 pictures with it. It was my Christmas/birthday gift for the next 3 years.

Canon PowerShot SD450 Digital.

I need to fins somewhere to buy JUST the camera and not the extras. Probly the pawn shop where they sold it at.

That just sucks

Roy, the pics look great. I see some things we may need to trade around a bit for

Did you use a tripod? The best way to figure out the settings is to put it on a tripod and then mess with the white balance, ISO, etc. Keep a list of the settings for each shot so when you go back and look at them, you'll remember what you did.

Steve, no comprehensive coverage I take it?

No tripod just hand held and I kept changing a setting on each one. Now I don't remember what each change was so I should do the tripod thing and take the same pic a couple dozen times with different settings while taking notes so that I can go back. I'll have to repeat in the evening with actinics and then again if I ever change bulb types.

your picture should have all of the "information" (such as ISO, F-stop, white blance setting, shutter speed, focal length, etc.) about it stored with the picture. I'm sure your software that came with the camera should have it, but if not, right click on a picture, then summeray, advanced, will tell you all you need to know about the settings that the picture was taken with.
