is this possible
I am looking at a 120 aga with 2 overflows one over flow I want to use to run a slow rate of water through a sump/refugium.
Can i use the drain and return holes as a supply to a closed loop? I was not planning on putting stand pipes on them. I was thiinking about just putting strainers and running them into a high flow pump and push it back into the tank. via pvc. Any help would be great Rob |

First I don't think the one overflow would be able to handle the output of a high flow pump(there is a calculator for that on the homepage),which would probably end up being very noisey,if it could handle the flow.Second, the design of overflows causes alot of bubbles, which will then be pumped back into your tank.I would just run an independent closed loop & use both overflows for the sump.HTH
