water help!!!
i want to fill up my 125 using my tap water but its chlorinated how long does it take to filter out the chlorine?

I'm reluctant to answer, but using tap water is not a good idea, imo. You could get a product like Seachem's Prime and de-chlorinate the tap water with that, but the use of an RO/DI unit is absolutely the better answer.

It depends if your tap water has chlorine or chloramine. Chloramine does not evaporate, while chlorine will. 24 hours is usually good for chlorine, chloramine will take a dechlorinator as drummereef said.
Although I dont recommend adding tap water because it contains many other impurities that cause problems. Like: copper iron chlorine chloramine phosphate silicate nitrate nitrite ammonia dissolved organics tannis lead ect- the list is huge.
