A tank I take care of has a yellow a purple and a hippo. It is a 125 and the hippo has been in it since 1992.

The size of the tank is a factor too. What size tank do you have? I have a Hippo and Powder Blue in my 125 and they are fine with each other.

A 75 is too small for any 2 tangs. IMO both the Hippo and Purple would need more than a 75 by thenselves.

I agree with tanker. I had my hippo in a 75 when it was small. It was about 3.5" when I upgraded to my 125 (6 foot tank). The fish has acted so different since. I never realized that the tank was too small until I saw how it swam around in the 125.
