Mine is plumbed from the cold water side of the washing machine using a metal wye fitting. It feeds into the RO and then into a 14G pressure tank so I have at least 10 gallons of prerssurized water at all times. From the pressure tank it feeds my MaxCap dual DI system, a RO drinking water faucet in the kitchen, the refrigerator ice maker and an RO faucet out at the garage laundry sink.

I plumbed mine straight into a sink in my equipment room. The feed is from the cold water side of my sink and the waste water goes out the sink drain to a french drain alongside my house.
The Ro/Di unit fills a 20 gallon drum below controlled by a float switch. My auto topoff pulls the Ro/Di water out of the drum and pushes it through a kalkreactor before it goes in the sump. I also have another 20 gallon drum next to it that I use for salt water makeup. When I need, I just transfer water from my Ro/Di drum to my makeup water drum.
