A pic of my new friend!!!
For anyone who has attempted to purchase one of these you know how difficult it can be. This is a male swallow angel I have been trying to hunt down for the last 2 months. His lady friend is a bit camera shy..... they have been swimming together since he was released from the bag.
The pic does no justice... The top fin is yellow, tail fins green trimmed in irredescent blue. Big thanks to ZENMAN.

He is 6". I was supposed to get a pair of them but the male did not ship. I have had a lone female for about 1.5 months.
I tried online and bugged every LFS for a while with no result. The order was placed directly via a fish distributor in california through a local source, they had small and large on the list. I ordered both and got the large, I guess its the luck of the draw. Good luck with your search, Try to get the male first then go for the female since you can get them anytime you want. I doubt you will find a pair unless they already have them at the LFS. These fish get snagged up quick so you better get to know your LFS people and get them to place their orders blind over the weekend so when the distributor picks up the first stack of papers 530 monday morning they see you want a male swallow angel, if they have one you might get it.

I will get a much better one tomorrow. He is fast and a bit skittish. There was a bit of aggression between him and a powder blue of the same size so I turned the lights out.
One thing you cant see in the pic is his streamers!!

Hey, word of advice, when picking up a female make sure you have positive ID on both the male and the female. It is hard to tell from that pic for sure, and there are a few in the genicanthus family that get lumped together/mis IDed, I have seen a few harems with a blackspot male, and swallowtail females. They were fine together, but somehow it upset my sensibilities...
