Newbie Info from a Newbie
Just a little heads up for anyone new that is going to get a sump with an over flow box. Make sure that the water level in the tank does not go over your overflow box due to the fact that a fish could swim there and get sucked in. Once you notice this problem fix it ASAP. I just lost my clown fish to this and wanted to bring up the subject.

You can additionally add Eggcrate or Gutter Screen over the top of the overflow box to deter animals (and foreign objects) from getting in.

Or stick up a sign on the top of the overflow, advertising a wonderful new fun and exciting water slide. I know my old lettuce slug used to love that ride.
