tank cloudy after adding BIONIC

i was mixing a couple of gallons of water for a water change, i decided to add the 2 part to the mixture 20ml of each and the water got really cloudy, is this normal? and like a moron i used it, i figured once i mix it with all the other water, it would be fine. Everything got cloudy, and has been like an hour and starting to clear up, all corals look fine, should i assume everything is okay?

sounds like the b-ionic precipitated out of your water!

check you CA and ALK as well as Mg.

You should add each part seperately into a high flow area. When you added both into your 2 gallons of water change the two parts reacted together and precipated out..causing the cloudiness.

They should be added at different times in a high flow area - sometimes as much as hours apart depending on the size of the tank.

I agree that you cannot mix both parts of your normal supplement amount into a small amount of new salt water without causing precipitation. You can mix the calcium part in OK, at least for a few minutes before a water change. Not the alkalinity part.

The cloudiness will disappear on its own as it settles out.

No need for a water change.
