10 Gallon Sump to small for a 50 Gallon
I want to add a sump to my 50 Gallon Oceanic. The tank is only 30" long, and the way the stand is set up, the biggest sump i can fit under there is a 10 gallon, not even a 20 High. I would like to add a sump and fuge using a life reef overflow (700 GPH) and an Eheim 1250 return 317GPH. I would also somehow like to incorporate an ASM G3 Skimmer (maybe overkill, but want to use it in a future upgrade) and a small fuge. Seems pretty tight, but is it safe? the last think i want is a flood.
Please, any ideas or thoughts will be extremely helpful. |

about your sump
of course, in my thoughts, my brother runs a healthy, 65 gal. reef aqaurium, with inverts a and the works, but he only uses a 10 gal sump

It is better than no sump. I had a 46 gallon bow front with a 10 gallon sump. Worked great. Go for it!!
