Need help with Lifegard Big Digital Temp Alert
My thermostat is about 1 1/2 years old and it is not working correctly. It is reading the water temp about 10-12 degrees above the actual temp. I cleaned off the in-water sensor, same problem. Any ideas? Does anyone know who makes these?

Rainbow is the listed brand. For ~$29, I'd pitch it and start over.

Thanks for the input. Would you get the same one, or recommend a different one? And if I'm not being too nosy, where are you in Idaho? My brother lives near Idaho Falls.

![]() It's a little cheaper, you can usually get it locally (Radio Shack), and it lets me monitor the RH in our Reef Room. We are in Meridian Idaho which is just on the edge of Boise. Idaho falls is ~4 hours from here. |

Sorry about that;
Relative Humidity: Is a ratio, expressed in percent, of the amount of atmospheric moisture present relative to the amount that would be present if the air were saturated. Since the latter amount is dependent on temperature, relative humidity is a function of both moisture content and temperature. Relative Humidity is derived from the associated Temperature and Dew Point for the indicated hour. In our old house, our evaporation rate would promote condensate on the windows so we watched the RH values a little closer. With the new reef room, the room has it's own window, exhaust, and HVAC duct so humidity hasn't been a problem. -Doug |
