Angry help w/skimmer

i have a pro clear 150 wet dry that has a built in skimmer powered by a ca cap1800.... how do i adjust??? i get no bubbles, please advise.. do i also need an air pump? thanks

some have pumps that will do air and water, but there should be a plastic line on the pipe from the pump to the cylinder. On this pipe there should be a small plastic tube that the air comes in. sometimes there is a valve at the end of this plastic tube that will stop the air from going. you can try blowing in the plastic air part and seeing if anything is blocking the airflow. that's just the protein skimmer. You might find a hole on that tube from the pump to the cylinder. if there is no plastic air tube line there go to walmart and get a line and stick it in there where the other side is above the water so air is pulled in. I'm not familiar with your model but they all pretty much work the same way.

i hooked up an air pump w/adj valve, messed w/ the bubbles for what seemed like hours and walah!! woke up this morning to a nasty brown filled cup, thanks again
