Question underwater bug?

I noticed a few "bugs" in the tank yesterday, they resemble a potatoe bug and are about the same size, and light tan in color. I cant get the camera to focus on one for pics, but was hoping someone could tell me maybe what they are? They stay on the rock in one place most of the time, I've only ever seen one swin once, they are pretty fast swimmers and go from one side of the tank to another (5 ft long tank) in about 2 seconds. Any idea what they might be?

What's a "potatoe bug" look like? Can't imagine a "bug" that could swim 5 feet in two seconds... Try to get a picture. My guess, worthless as it is, is a immature shrimp of some kind. If there are no predators in your tank, they might be quite happy there.

ok, sorry, it would commonly be called a pill bug, not a potato bug, (thats a slang term we used to use for them in Pittsburgh)..I tried to get a pic, but it is too small for me to get the camera focused on. (time to buy a better camera). So, its maybe 1/2 inch long, and looks like a pill bug. eeewww, I didn't think of that, that does look more like a pill bug than a grammarus shrimp does. Keep your fingers crossed it ain't that.

Could be a sphaeromatid isopod. They seem fairly common, and are fine to have. The predatory versions have very large eyes.
