Lightbulb Drip vs Turkey Baster...

Just curious, what do you think is a better method of acclimation? The turkey baster or drip method?

Never heard of a turkey baster method.

What are you acclimating? I use different methods, depending on the animal.

A shot glass? As in "bombs away" and dunk a coral in the tank and then slam one down? Hope you dont buy too many corals at the same time! ( JK of course ).

Never heard of anything other than drip. I just lost a coral beauty could this have been from my acc? I did the drip for about 1 1/2 hours. But I have done the same for all my other fish and their great. Is there diff. types of acc. for other fish?

i dont have any way to drip properly, so i just use a turkey baster and suck up water every 5 mins or so, and squirt a little into the container im trying to acclimate.

Its very easy to set up a drip.

Go to the LFS, get,

8 ft of airline tubing. Maybe $1.00
An Airline valve again couple bucks,
a bucket ( you should have that already)

And thats it!

I let my fish look at the tank from inside the bag before I dump them in...

any method that slowly acclimates the animal to the tank works.
