Mexican Turbos - (poop machines!)
I love my Mexican Turbos. They are hands down the MVP of my cleanup crew, but the only problem is that they are constant poop machines.
What's the best way to clean up the cleanup crew's detritus? My Turbos are making my sand nasty in my nano. I don't have any other livestock in there, so i know it's theirs... any ideas? |

Yes and they are eating machines too. If you have more than one in the nano I am afraid they might soon start to starve. If you no longer have enough algae for them try feeding them some nori.

I had a couple in there b/c my tank got out of hand during my cycling period, but I'll likely just keep 1 and toss the others into my main reef tank.

Can Ceriths and Nassarius snails coexist in the same sandbed?
In a 6gal, 10lb sand bed, is 10 total too many? |

yeah i had the same problem with my turbos i would place a nori sheet for my tang and they would nibble on it. but in about 20 min all my 5 turbos would surrond the nory and eat it all up. a while latter poop poop poop so i avoided this by placing the clip from the ceiing of the tank and the nory floating that way only te fish had access to it from there

yes ceriths and nassarius will be fine together. nassarius stay under the sand and dont really even touch the top layers unless you feed some meaty foods and they come out. Ceriths stay to the rock, glass, and dig their heads in the top layer of sand.
