Question about sponges
I now realize i have sponges growing in my tank not knowing what type of sponges i have i dont know how to care for them. Mainly they are one piece of LR but i see them now on a second piece in the same tank I do not know what type of lighting I should get so they can thrive. My husband is in Iraq and is thrilled that we have some on the LR but I have to wait and ask him what type of light we have because its a small light. But what do I need to feed them? I feed the BTA in the tank invertbrae smorgasboard is that ok for them too? Should I direct feed them I have recently began direct feeding the BTA to see if he'll get bigger for his mate tomato clown. These are all in a 20 gallon tank.
I'm open to any suggestions should I transfer the two pieces of LR into my bigger 30 gallon tank so they can thrive more or should I leave them be? Thank you |

Sponges will pop all over the place after time. Sponges wil grow in dark or very low lit areas. They are filter feeders and feed from the water column itslef. No special care is needed as they do it themselves, every time you feed the tank.
