How to remove salt spray from splash gaurds?

I use an aqualight pro on my aquarium and at the advice of fellow reefers i removed the glass top from my aquarium. This definitly helped with light penetration, but now i have salt spray on the splash gaurds for my lights. Any suggestions on how to clean this stuff off?

many people use vinegar and water, how close are your lights to the water that they are being splashed?

Turn off the lights and wait for them to cool down then just use a paper towel with warm water and clean them off. Then dry them with a dry paper towel.

I used the mounting legs that came with the light, so i would say maybe six inches off the water. When i turn my pump off and back on, the output sprays bubles out, and when they break little drops of water hit the glass.

cloudy white film will come off glass easy if you whipe it with a paper towel with warm water then immediatly use a razor blade on it while the glass is still wet.

I just run hot water over mine in the bathtub, then dry it off. Works great, and leaves on residue.
