RO/DI hookup to washing machine spigot?
I live in an apartment where I cant "modify" the plumbing, which I'm interpreting rather loosely to mean that changes need to be transparent (i.e., I can yank it without having to change anything else). I figure adding a Y to the washing machine cold water feed and adding the RODI input there, then the drain down the washing machine drain would be acceptable. Anyways, I can't seem to find any info as to which RO/DI units come with a hose type socket to connect them (or what type of connection any of them come with). Do any come with something to connect to a hose socket? If not, is there an adapter of some sort that can be bought?
I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to Ro/Di units, are there brands that are recommended over others for any particular reason? Don't need any kind of major capacity, 25-40 GPD is plenty. Thanks |

I use a T adaptor on a bathroom sink. I did have to do a bit more DIY type work than the y-adapter approach.

Pretty much all RO units can be ordered with a hose thread adapter. You specify what you want when ordering. Get a unit with a 75 GPD Dow Filmtec RO membrane and a vertical refillable DI for good performance. For best performance the unit Smitty linked to is the best of all, its the one I have by the way.
