To Reef Central

In that price range you should check out the Reefkeeper 2, the AquaController Jr., and the Premium Aquatics Lighthouse:

I recently purchased the RK2 and installed on my 240g.

I don't have experience with other controllers so my opinion is limited.

The unit has some pretty neat features and allows you to control up to 8 different devices.

I am currently using mine to control 4 MH and T5 lighting fixture as well as several pumps.

I think the one drawback in my opinion is the unit can only hold a max of 15 amps but if this is not a limitation for your setup then you will not be disappointed for the $'s spent.

I've had one for 1 year and I'm happy with it. I've also receieved good customer support- they've replaced 2X the outlets after I've had water trickle into it.
I find it best for controlling various lights so you don't have to have a bunch of the clunky, large, dial timers and also for controlling temperature heating/ cooling. Powerheads off/ on/ cycling and sump all on feed control are nice too. I find though that with my new 180 that I'll use more than 8 outlets, so I have a 2nd simple DJ type controller for those.
I strongly recommend it if you have 8 or less things to control- display is nice, small and is always lite to the right brightness level for me.
