Water height for SWC 120 Cone?

What is the correct sump water height for a SWC 120 Cone skimmer?

Thanks,
Ken

Ran mine at 8" for a while and didn't have much skimmate. Rasied the skimmer so it is at 7" and is working better. Thinking I will move it closer to 6" soon. Looks like the water output should be about 1" below the water.

Thanks a lot. Any other hints or tricks with this skimmer?

Don't mean to hijack, but has anyone run the 120 in about 9" of water with success?

I ran at 8" and didn't get a whole lot of skimmate but moved to 7" and it's much better now.

I know the 160 loves it right about the 9-9.5 inch mark for me. From what I've read the 120 would probably find that a little deep. Too deep is always a better problem though as you can just build a stand, something I did for my 160 because the compartment it sits in is around 14 inches.
